Smoothie Recipes

Hello Cherubs!

As promised, here are my red and green smoothie recipes I discussed in January’s e-newsletter!

Red Smoothie Recipe
Add a handful of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, spinach and a whole banana to your blender. Then add 1 scoop of the Organic Berry Complex. Pour in 200-300ml filtered water (I use coconut water when I can as a treat). Pulse until you reach the consistency you love, pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!

Green Smoothie
Add a handful of spinach and kale to your blender. Add a whole apple with just the stalk removed and some diced pineapple. Add fresh ginger, peeled and about 1/4-1/2 an inch thick or to your taste and the juice of half a lemon. Add 200-300ml filtered water, cover with lid and pulse until you reach the consistency you love, pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!

You can use frozen fruits where possible for either of these recipes. I like to use them instead of ice on warmer days, and they are a budgeter’s dream if pennies are a little tight.

You can also add raw (unpasteurised) honey and a half teaspoon of cinnamon to either smoothie recipe. I do this when the cold and flu season is upon us and in full swing, or I’m feeling a little bit run down after a long week.

When I fancy something different and refreshing in the summer, I have a lovely tropical smoothie that I whip up with frozen mango and pineapple, fresh kiwis and freshly squeezed lime juice!

Enjoy!
